Alentra is pay-as-you-go. You’re charged per successfully verified step — never for sessions you create, abandoned flows, or steps that fail verification. The proof is the product; if a step doesn’t produce a verified result, it isn’t billed.

Per-primitive prices

A multi-step session is billed per step: an identify + sign session that completes both steps costs 0.10+0.10 + 0.30 = 0.40∗∗.Iftheuserstopsafterthefirststep,you′rebilledonly∗∗0.40**. If the user stops after the first step, you're billed only **0.10.

How billing works

1

Top up your balance

Add at least $5 manually from Billing through embedded Stripe Checkout. Applicable Stripe Tax is added above the selected wallet credit, never deducted from it. The payment and its Stripe identifiers are recorded in the billing ledger. Your balance is held in wallet units — 1 USD = 10,000 units.
2

Spend per verified step

Each step that verifies successfully deducts its price from your balance, charged in the same atomic commit as the result and audit record. A failed verification charges nothing.
3

Stay within your floor

Self-serve accounts can dip into a small overdraft buffer so a momentary low balance does not immediately block a paying user. Once the buffer is exhausted, Alentra refuses additional paid progress; top up promptly.

Enterprise

Need volume pricing, invoicing, or a credit line instead of prepaid balance? Enterprise accounts can run on an admin-set credit limit instead of the fixed self-serve buffer. Talk to us privately.

FAQ

No. Creating a session is free, and only steps that produce a verified result are billed. An abandoned or expired session costs nothing.
No subscription, no monthly minimum. You pay only for verified steps.
No. Pricing is per primitive, not per country, credential, or wallet provider — an identify step costs $0.10 on every available route.
An actionable Stripe refund or dispute freezes new customer API activity while Alentra staff reconcile the corresponding wallet credit. Reconciliation never alters completed session results, original signed documents, or audit evidence.
